Theresa Nguyen is currently a UX Researcher in IBM's Cloud and Cognitive Software Organization. She previously also interned as a User Research Intern at GE Appliances prior to working at IBM, and she received her M.A. in Human Factors Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2019 and a B.S. in Psychology from Purdue University.

Theresa currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with plans to move to Austin, Texas early next year.er science to which allows her to create and design within its parameters.

UX Researcher Checklist: An Analysis of 100 UX Researcher Open Job Postings

UX Researchers, regardless of years of experience or job status, should be evaluating themselves against an objective benchmark of capability. One source of data for such a comparison is open job postings where the requirements of the position, across multiple domains and industries, offers insights into themes. An analysis of 100 open UX Researcher job postings on LinkedIn were used to develop themes around categories such as education level, educational discipline, collaborators, responsibilities, methods, and skills. Our talk will present a qualitative and quantitative understanding of which UX research skills are in-demand by employers, and what is expected out of a UX Researcher today.
