Val has been published by Fast Company, A List Apart, and Smashing Magazine, and she’s spoken at dozens of events all over the world including Pixel Up, Web Directions, UX Week and An Event Apart.

It’s time to take a fresh look at UX animation! Some of the newer things in web design open new doors for what we can do with animation too. Container queries can be used for more than just layout, and user preferences allow us to design our web animation work with more intention than ever before. In this talk, we’ll explore how we can approach animation with a new sense of flexibility and the foundations of UX animation that still hold true.
