Stories—fairy tales, parables, and even news reports—structure reality. And every story has a hero seeking a happy ending. We used to deliver features-heavy documentation. We cataloged all the UI and every command. Our docs weren’t stories, and they didn’t have heroes. Our customers were frustrated because they wanted a solution to solve a problem, not a bunch of unrelated products and features. Now we design our docs around Agile user stories, which help us create a better user experience.
