Steve is a multidisciplinary creative who has been facilitating communication by means of design for over 14 years. Over the course of his career, he has tackled every project with a hands-on approach to analysis, conceptualization, and problem-solving and lives for the challenge of transforming concepts and ideas into elegant, purposeful, and engaging experiences.

As Senior UX Designer at Smashing Boxes, he revels in collaborating with the talented people he works with everyday to design unique and complex solutions across a broad number of platforms and industries.

A Florida native, Steve has lived in Wake Forest since 2008 with his wife, five children, two dogs, and two cats.

A Practical Guide to Bada$$ Workshops

It's 3pm on a random Tuesday when your computer dings and you look up to read "Calendar App: Invitation: Brainstorming Working Session - Friday, 9am - 4pm." You swallow hard as your heart drops into the lumbar support of your chair.

We've all been there, dreading those meetings with no agenda, the hours of wandering discussions and scribbles on whiteboards just to walk away with vague "action items" we are under-informed and under-equipped to act on.

There is a cure for meaningless meetings. Hosting a planned workshop brings together people with differing perspectives, insights, skills, and ideas and facilitates a collaborative working session to accomplish a common goal. This session will cover workshopping soup to nuts; from goal setting to hosting and everything in between.
